DDW – C-fabriek

C-Fabriek is a set of 14 Production Lines establishing the New Factory.
Each Production Line is an atelier, a factory, a museum and a shop.
C-Fabriek is curated by Itay Ohaly & Thomas Vailly.

Within an empty factory in Eindhoven, a collection of young designers are creating their own production lines, machines, tools and products; re-establishing a relationship with their audience.
C-fabriek is a place where designers work, create and manufacture, but also, present their processes and methods to the public. By doing so, they are reclaiming control over their creations, and suggesting alternatives to industrialization, production and consumption.
During Dutch Design Week 2012, the C-Fabriek will exhibit 25 designers with their unique production lines, producing step by step from early phase to end result. C-Fabriek is an active exhibition where all the designers will work on their respective production lines.

On Sunday October 21st is the vernissage in which 14 production lines will be at work from 18:00 to 22:00. During the other days of Dutch Design Week, specific production lines will be running from 11:00 to 12:00 and from 18:00 to 19:00.
